What is CANership? – It is CAN’s mentoring program. CAN connects high school students with college juniors and seniors for college advice and connects college students with working professionals for career advice. A mentee can request a mentor on an ad-hoc basis or on a long term basis. Our mentoring services include college, career, life advice, resume review, mock interview practice and informational interview.

Mentor Requirements

  1. Mentor needs to register an account to become a CANer first
  2. Mentor needs to sign up the mentor application form
  3. Mentor who is either college juniors and seniors or working professionals with the time, passion and commitment to share knowledge and experiences;
  4. No minimum mentoring hour is required as long as a mentor is able to help a mentee accomplish goal(s) and provide one or more ad-hoc services above.

Mentee Requirements

  1. Mentee must be a registered CAN member and sign up here first
  2. Mentee must submit a mentee application form
  3. Mentee who is proactive in learning and committed to better personal and professional life;
  4. Mentee is expected to reach out to assigned mentor upon matching and take lead on meeting/call scheduling and agenda setting; 
  5. Mentee is expected to write a sincere thank-you letter/email to mentor upon receiving service help from mentor and forward a copy of such thank you letter/email to CAN at info@canint.org;
  6. Mentee is expected to provide improvement feedback to CAN at info@canint.org;
  7. Mentee is expected to promote CANership to their friends who may need similar service
